Hanifia is a old and established eating joint – been there for decades now dishing out the best hunter beef in Karachi. This is the Clifton branch, which opened a few years back.

_Hunter Beef is beef treated so that it lasts for a long time – hence the name hunter beef._

  1. The hunter beef is simply great, period! They could however improve the quality of their bread. The chewy bread that they serve takes credit away from the hunter beef inside. The last time I was there, I complained about the bread. I haven’t been there after that day, so who knows my feedback could have seen the daylight.

  2. As a Karachi-ite i loved Hanifia burgers – now i would like to start a hanifia burger joint in Europe – can you ask the hanifia people to contact me asap – i estimate my requirement at approx 125kg per week in packing of 50 kg Hunter Pressed Beef,

25 kg Hunter Spicy Beef, 25 kg Hunter Chicken and 25 kg Spicy Chicken = please email their price in Pak Rupees and I will arrange all shipment and forwarding etc through my Karachi office.

  3. Does any one remember the Broadway Bakery in Rawalpindi, it was there in ’79 when I left. They had the best Hunter Beef. Does anyone know how they made it? It was almost like dry cured, it was awesome.

  4. The hanifia, hunter beef is the world’s best one, specially the fried version, and their burgers with that desi orange mustard is excellent.

Those of you who go there, just try the beef version, the chicken is a modern version but not that tasty.

  6. Broadway bakery was closed about 10 years ago. it was owned by my parents and grandfather(Rasheed). After moving to Canada everything was sold off.

Yes there was a special way of making hunter’s beef. It was mainly cured with a mixture of spices for a few days. However if i had a recipe i would share with you all.
