A great movie, but the ending is too Hollywood. Jamie Foxx is amazing as Ray Charles - the acting from the entire cast is brilliant.

The real driving force of the film though is the music of Ray Charles and the flat out greatness of watching Jamie Foxx play Ray in the middle of a performance.

Agreed, Foxx is brilliant in the movie, plus I particularly enjoyed the lady who played young Charles’ mother.

Whar do you mean “ending is too Hollywood”? It is a true story.. how do you think it should have ended?

The movie ended at a nice point, but didn’t show that the rest of his life was quite ‘troubled’.
